Almost always the vendor has a clause in the "boiler plate" on the purchase
order limiting his liability to the replacement of the defective product.
Legal action surrounding this is fairly rare, although I've seen it happen. .
Usually the real settlement is based more on customer relations than on
legalities.
How badly does the seller want to keep his customer??
