MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL Date: Tuesday October 14, 1997 Where: Connie's Restaurant in Derby Time: CAD demonstrations 4:00pm Meeting 6:00pm (dinner will be served at 6:00pm) Topic: CAD Round Table This month we will be hosting CAD demonstrations followed by a round table discussion focusing on where is CAD going in the next millenium. The following questions have been given to the attending CAD vendors, so that they would have an opportunity to prepare themselves accordingly: 1. Choice of platform and/or operating systems - NT, Unix, '95 2. Interfaces - CAD-to-CAD, CAD-to-CAM 3. DFM checking capabilities - Fabrication, Assembly, Test 4. Standardized libraries - Management, Transportable 5. High Density Interconnect Based on a survey of our members, we have invited Accel, PAD's, VeriBest, and Zuken-Redac to participate on the panel. A special feature of this meeting is the Cad demonstrations beginning at 4:00pm, prior to the meeting. This is a special activity and we encourage you to come early and kick the tires.
