I am not a current subscriber to this list, so I would appreciate if any replies can be also copied to my address: [log in to unmask] Thank you. --------------------------------------------------------------------- My question is in regard to any software/hardware which might be on the market, capable of calculating the offsets, scaling, and rotation factors for a panel, taking in consideration the data obtained from x-raying individual coupons (set of holes on specific pad size) in each corner of the panel. On some of the x-ray machines on the market, the operator has to "appreciate" these shifts for each corner, and depending on the these values, to "evaluate/calculate" the offsets, scale and rotation factors. This operation is subjective, involves a lot of experience, and is time consuming. Some other x-ray machines have the capability of measuring the horizontal/vertical shifts for each hole, but lack the calculation part for the entire panel. It would be nice if after measuring the horizontal/vertical displacemnt for each hole (each corner), the software will calculate the corrections, scaling and rotations, without any further intervention from operator. It would also be very helpful if the software will recognize the hole and pad, thus will provide the displacement values, so the operator will not have to measure these features. In this case the operator will have to take 4 images (quad view) of the corners of the panel, and the application will do the rest. If you know of such application I will appreciate any inputs. Thank you very much.
