i had a this problem many years ago and what we found was that during
the assembling process our teflon insulator was expanding and causing
us to not get the proper grounding connection from the shield to the
connector. what we did to solve the problem was make all of our bends
in the cable then run the unassembled cable through a heat cycle then cut
the teflon insulator and the complete the assembly of the connector to the
cable. there is also semi rigid cable available although i dont remember
where to aquire it, where the insulator has pockets to avoid this
expansion problem.
