           This is only from my experience and I have no hard facts, just a
  gut feel after 30 years in the trenches. In the design group, everyone
  could/would work OT, not at time and a half-but that's another story, for
  short durations to get the "job out" on time----fill in those milestones.

           However, we were "designing" pwb's with 50-70 hr work weeks
  for years!!! Yes, there were inefficacies, but GOOD people made it work.
  Was management at fault for unrealistic schedules-you bet!! Did people make
  mistakes-ababsolutely, should we get more contract people-we did, was there
  a better way--probably not with the schedule constraints.

            The bottom line is that there is no right "real-world" answer,
  forget the pie-in-the-sky dreams or ivory tower neat, sleek plans that DON"T
  work. Make the best of what you have with the people and the machines and
  let your personal pride in doing a professional job be your guide. Know your
  people's limitations and/or your own and do your best. Enought of preaching
  to the choir. This may be an interesting start to the weekend, for those not
  working OT. Anyone else care to comment from the trenches??
