Response: Try to stay away from the 3 and 4 row connectors. The leads seem to get bent in the packaging and handling and they are a reel pain in the @%$#&%. Also I suggest to not use a SMT connector that requires "hardware" (nuts,bolts,washers,etc.) for attachment. This further complicates the process. Samtec seems to make a good connector available in several configurations, some are machine placeable.
