In my past life, we used selectively plated gold with Entek CU106-A successfully for pressure contacts and switch contacts (to carbon ink actuators) without issue. The gold was bussed in prior to the OSP application. Some assembly houses are concerened regaring reflowing on immersion gold, as on occasion, the solderability is not acceptable. N2 helps somewhat. The process controls are vendor dependant. I would like to do immersion gold on my keypad contacts but use something Like Entek on the rest of the PCB. Is this possible? My PCB assembly vendor doesn't like reflowing immersion gold PCBs. He claims the solder doesn't flow very well. Is it just him or the rest of the industry? *************************************************************************** * TechNet mail list is provided as a service by IPC using SmartList v3.05 * *************************************************************************** * To subscribe/unsubscribe send a message <to: [log in to unmask]> * * with <subject: subscribe/unsubscribe> and no text in the body. * *************************************************************************** * If you are having a problem with the IPC TechNet forum please contact * * Dmitriy Sklyar at 847-509-9700 ext. 311 or email at [log in to unmask] * *************************************************************************** *************************************************************************** * TechNet mail list is provided as a service by IPC using SmartList v3.05 * *************************************************************************** * To subscribe/unsubscribe send a message <to: [log in to unmask]> * * with <subject: subscribe/unsubscribe> and no text in the body. * *************************************************************************** * If you are having a problem with the IPC TechNet forum please contact * * Dmitriy Sklyar at 847-509-9700 ext. 311 or email at [log in to unmask] * ***************************************************************************
