I realize that this is a sales issue so please reply off TechNet. I'm doing cost research for Telegen Lab's VP of Engineering on the cost of printed circuit boards for a consumer product in the early stages of development. What we need to know are the costs PCBs made of various dielectrics by the square inch and the number of layers of the board. Also, what the minimum lot charges are for prototyping and how many square inches of board the minimum will buy us. I understand that there is not enough detail here to give a very accurate estimate, but she wants to get an idea if her invention will be able to be produced in the price range she expects to be able to reach the market. A general idea of production parameters are 25,000 to 50,000 6"x6" boards per year with surface mount components (finest pitch to be .025") both sides and width/air gap of .008/.007".
