Hi Carey - Please furnish some additional info - -how thick is the PWB? -how big is the PWB? -how many internal layers (signal, ground, etc)? -how heavily populated and what's the component mix (big QFPs?)? -what equipment are you using - how much preheat do you have? -what generic flux type are you using(low residue, water soluble etc)? If it is IR re-flowed the part suffers form a performance degradation (not complete failure) HP has refused ( is either unwilling or unable) to provide a preferred soldering profile for this part Has one experienced this problem with other low profile SOT-23 type device, or knows of a IR profile that can be safely used with this part.
