I was one of the fortunate few who was able to log on to IPCchat. I, too, encountered the access message, but got on at my second attempt. Jeff Seeger's sage advice on enabling my Java may have helped. I had to write a big "JAVA" note near my computer to remind myself to disable after the session. The IPCchat holds great potential. There was no structure to today's session, since it was mainly a practice runthrough. I think if topics are announced that hold enough interest, and Dmitriy works the bugs out, that there will be an audience. Cyberchat is somewhat disjointed at times, with response delays. We were patient enough to realize that. The viewing area on the screen was a bit small as well ( 8-) ...had to use my bifocals!). I also feel that setting a time later in the day might be helpful - 11 am Central is 9 am Pacific, and worse yet lunch time Eastern. It was nice chatting with some fellow Technetters.
