The spec was written by a joint tiger team of DESC representatives along with industry volunteers representing a cross section of industy (of which I was a member). DESC is administering the spec, and since I hear that getting a copy of it from navy pubs has been difficult, I would suggest you give anyone at DESC a call.... try Ray Kolonchuk or Joe Dhirkop @ 513-296-6278 Let me know if you need any help Lisa Greenleaf 603-791-3118 -------------------------------------- Date: 4/16/96 11:50 AM To: LISA GREENLEAF From: Jim Spendow Where does one get a copy of PRF 31032 and who's spec is it? If no etchback is specified, than a negative etchback of .0005 is allowable. -------------------------------------- Date: 4/15/96 10:23 AM To: LISA GREENLEAF From: Lyle Andersen Can anyone inform me of the current status of the military requirement re: etchback? A potential customer's blueprint references 55110D and specifically calls out for etchback on type 3 boards (multilayer). However, the board will have a commercial application and, as is common with blueprint notes, this may be of the "boilerplate" variety. They may be satisfied with desmear with a little education and persuasion. Thanks to any who respond.
