CONSULTANTS COUNCIL FORUM ON GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PWB AND PWA BUSINESSES Member companies of the IPC are confronted daily with the opportunities and challenges of conducting business in a global market. In order to be properly informed and prepared to do business in the international arena and to sustain your current base, the Consultants' Council has prepared a three-part program at IPC Printed Circuits Expo being held Wednesday, March 6 from 10:00am-12:00 noon. l. Joe Fjelstad, Tessera will discuss recent developments in IC technology and interconnection layout strategies, as well as the possible impact of those developments on the future of printed circuit board technology. This will be viewed from the standpoint of one who has observed these changes in Europe, Eastern Europe, the far East, and in the U.S. 2. Gene Weiner of Weiner and Associates will discuss international trade shows. Which ones should you attend and why? How should your company maximize return for your trade show dollar? 3. A panel consisting of J. Fjelstad, E.J. Vardaman, TechSearch Intl. and H. Nakahara, N.T. Information Ltd. will give an update on international process changes, and fabrication techniques for PWB and PWA. Each panelist will present a short dissertation followed by a panel discussion involving the audience. The focus will be not only on the technology issues, but also on the goal of profitability.
