Kitty, I've found that it depends on where it's being manufactured, some places that I have worked at had very strict requirements, and others just wanted it to be hand assembled. Call a Manufacturing Rep. that I know Terry McNulty at McNulty & Assoc. 980-9868, he has a booklet from an assembly house in Minnesota. (Altron Inc.) that has very good guidelines to follow. You could also call the IPC and see what documents they have, and of course UL. But first find out what requirements that you need to meet and where it will be assembled, then at least you know what you're shooting for. Karl Bates [log in to unmask]
