As the complexity of electronic designs continue to dramatically advance along with time to market demands, Engineers and Designers must clearly work closer together. New challenges exist to change the "over the wall" traditions from logic, to physical designs, to manufacturing. Today many new tools are available to synthesize and optimize designs earlier in the design cycle. Our meeting objectives will be to learn how these new tools and technologies can compliment our existing CAD tools. We also want to work on new ways to reduce the cost of ECOs and make changes more easily at any stage of the design process regardless of CAD systems. Harris Electronic Design Automation will be our Guest and will talk about floorplanning, partitioning and early trade off analsis and using their EDAnavigator software. Industry wide, Harris EDA is considered the leader in the field of "Vitual Prototyping" and we are sure their presention will be very informative and rewarding. Food and beverages will be provided. There will be a nominal fee to cover our costs: $ 5.00 for members, and $ 8.00 for non members.
