Box looks professional Easier to quality verify Increased reliability Easier to install Can fit in places hard wiring can not Possible to carry impedances across flex sections Lighter Circuitry can be folded back upon itself or stacked Predictable, repeatable electrical performance can be obtained CON's Expensive Nothing is worse that ripping off a leg due to an inexperienced installer WHO BUILDS Yes there is a unique fabricator base. Most can be found in the IPC membership directory by looking in the back section of independent suppliers under the columns on product type flex, or on the QPL for MIL-P-50884.
