Paul: The traditional approach was to use Methylene Chloride based paint strippers for this task, but that is likely not an approved approach any more. Suggest strong solvents, and one of the safer, stronger solvents is N-Methyl Pyrollidone, AKA, NMP. You local solvent vendor/chemical distributor can likely get you samples, and untimately supply you.
