By less stable I meant...From "High Speed Digital Design" by Johnson and
Graham...loosely quoted

Aluminum electrolytics commonly have an initial tolerance of +/-20%...
an aging factor...which amounts to +/-15% after 1,000 hours at their max rated 
temp...temp derating factor, about -5% at 0-degrees C...can take away 40% of 
the capacitance you thought you were buying...ESR ratio of 14:1 from 0 to 
60-degrees C...At temps below 0-degrees C, the ESR on this particular
capacitor renders it useless for digital bypassing...


As always, the suitability of anything depends on its application and
how it compares to the available alternatives.
