Following from the EMPF HelpLine in Indianapolis, prepared by John Guy: Our R&D facility has quite a bit of information of this type that we would be pleased to share with you. It will be much easier to provide assistance if we have a list of the specific materials you are interested in. We will be contacting you directly through your e-mail address to discuss this further. One of the software packages we use is a FEM package ALGOR. Our experience with ALGOR is that it can use the materials properties and loading conditions and provide the stress and deformation data you asked about. (There are other software packages that do this also.) This data is likely to be too lengthy to post directly to the TechNet. If anyone else is interested you can contact the EMPF HelpLine at [log in to unmask] (easier to [log in to unmask]) or through our web page http://www.engr.iupui.edu/empf/ and by phone 317.226.5616. ---------- From: TechNet-request To: TechNet Subject: PCB Material (for Stress and Deformation Analysis) Date: 29 Nov 95 2:51PM Return-Path: <[log in to unmask]> Resent-Date: Wed, 29 Nov 1995 22:22:06 -0500 Old-Return-Path: <miso!tellabs.com!jimenez> Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> Date: Wed, 29 Nov 95 14:51:22 -0600 Sender: [log in to unmask] From: Jorge Jimenez <[log in to unmask]> X-Mailer: Mozilla 1.1 (X11; U; IRIX 5.2 IP22) Mime-Version: 1.0 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: PCB Material (for Stress and Deformation Analysis) X-Url: http://www.automata.com/ipc/TechNet/0588.html Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Resent-Message-ID: <"bgGxx2.0.YxD.gWDlm"@ipc> Resent-From: [log in to unmask] X-Mailing-List: <[log in to unmask]> archive/latest/1913 X-Loop: [log in to unmask] Precedence: list Resent-Sender: [log in to unmask] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- I want to estimate stresses and deformation on PCBs.
