So what are ionising fans - as sold by static control companies then? -- Regards Mike -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Douglas Pauls Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2016 3:14 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Fans and ESD Good morning all, We had an outside audit "observation" that I would like some outside opinions on. In your facilities, are simple air circulation fans, usually plastic blades and a plastic housing (think inexpensive Walmart) targeted as an ESD generator? I have never heard of such and my view is that if our humidity stays above the 30% minimum found in most ESD standards, then we should not have charge generation. So, are cheapy plastic fans an ESD hazard?
