Most inductors are not just some Henry-s, but also have some R-s and C-s (or Q-s). So using a simple spec sheet that gives you the inductance can possibly lead you astray. In simple circuits it may work, in critical circuits it may not.

Good luck,
Ahne.

Subject: [TN] Obsolete Multilayer Ferrite Inductor replacement?

Hi All,

We have a board here that uses a Multilayer Ferrite Chip Inductor from Murata that has gone obsolete. It's PN# CS321613-330. Murata decided to quit making it because according to the obsoleting notice they weren't selling many of these and not making any money:
http://www.bourns.com/data/global/pdfs/IC1320_CS321613_POM.pdf

So I've been looking for a replacement. I found a few out there, it needs to be a 1206, but I'm not an electrical guy, so I can't really make the call. Can any of you look at these and have an idea whether or not they would work? Below are the ones I found:

AIML-1206-330

IC1206A33R-10

CL321611T-R33K-N

Steve
