You might try a hot solution of KOH or NaOH. I recall reading those were
used to help clean Kapton material after laser cutting.

Anyone know of an easy way to remove Kapton insulation from solid 26AWG
wire? We have to prep such wires for soldering. I thought we could simply
remove with a solder pot but the insulation is just too resilient. Any
ideas?
