Rich: You are in the land of snow and ice. Any chance that crunchy snow melt (calcium chloride) that has been ground to a powder and blown onto the PCA? It dries out, falls off, is stepped on and makes a mess. If you don't change shoes, the stuff sticks to the lug patterns of the non leather soles and ends up on all the floors showing up as a white haze.
