Hi David, Brushing tends to move dust, debris, particular matter around and not actually pick it up. Depending on the vigorousness of the action, can actually cause the stuff you're trying to brush away to go places you don't want it (into the setup perhaps). I recommend more of a clean room practice of vacuuming (central vac system) or a clean room hand tacky roller with sticky pad, or web cleaner. Organization of the lay-up station can help minimize transfer of material of one type to another (say prepreg dust onto copper foil, leading to resin spots) or (slivers from pre-tooled copper foil into prepreg, leading to shorts).
