The minimum electrical clearance is the minimum spacing allowed between two non-common conductors. It is almost always determined by the design engineer, and is almost always (should be always) documented on the PWB drawing. However, it applies to more than just the distance between traces and solder joints; it is the defined minimum distance between any non-common conductors anywhere on the finished assembly, including the components. -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Lyon Yuan Sent: Tuesday, October 08, 2013 8:47 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] minimum electrical clearance Guys, How to understand the minimum electrical clearance in IPC?
