Morning Louis, How about something like this? http://www.all-spec.com/products/L16401.html?gclid=CKmnx_eSjLkCFWNxQgodm W0AiQ Steve -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Louis Hart Sent: Tuesday, August 20, 2013 7:36 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] ?Handheld UV source? TechNetters, one of my colleagues is looking for a hand-held UV source. It would be used for inspecting printed circuit boards after etching outer layers, checking for shorts. So - I think - it does not need to be anything very sophisticated. We want something that will plug into a wall outlet, i. e., is not powered by batteries. We had been using a UV source made to surround the lens of a binocular microscope, but it did not stand up to handling very well. Anyone have ideas? We have a bench-type source, but it is approximately the size of a small toolbox.
