That's funny, of all the coatings parylene is the easiest one to produce a fine edge. The edge of the coating is as straight as the tape is layed down. Something should be noted as to need for a tolerance or a don't care area between the 2, even if it is up to the individual design to specify it. A paralyene contractor told me he could hold 4 mils. That is not zero and I hate to think of the price to hold that tolerance.
