Scott, What surface? You mean the MCPCB? And what is 0.1 resp. 0.2 and 0.4 ? Is that the asperity in micro inches? Why do your customer bother? Are they worried about the heat transfer? Calculating Rth one use to consider the asperity. To keep Rth as low as possible is of crucial interest for the life of high current LEDs but hardly for the small ones that you see as indicator lamps on boards for home electronics.
