Shean,
For ORH1 flux, what solvent would you recommend?

Is the gasket tight enough to prevent a solvent cleaner to penetrate? As you say, water may have difficulty penetrating the gasket, and, IPA from the ionics test may not be able to remove enough of the flux residue to measure on the ionics test; but, a more effective cleaning solvent with a low surface tension perhaps could penetrate underneath the gasket. A solvent that can solubilize the residues and be used for both wash and rinse may help reduce the risk.

It the parts are built already and in the field, perhaps you want to consider conducting accelerated testing and analysis to determine what the long term effects may be.
