Dear all,

Per my experience, it is weave exposure caused by re-work of S/M. The stripping of S/M by chemicals together with mechanical scrubbing caused the resin coating being attacked. Weave texture usually occurred on the edge of the PCB where the resin (butter coating) is thinner due to flow out in multilayer pressing.

 

 

 

 

Thanks Davie. However, is there any method can be identified them other than the micro-section?

 

Perform microsectioning,if around the defective place, the base material's covered with resin, it should be Weave Texture. If glass fibre expose to the air, it should be Weave Exposure.
