I was just thinking the same thing Ben. I would probably relate Technet more closely with Linked In though. They are both tools used by professionals to network, share information, find employment, and add humor to our days. I am fairly new to LinkedIn, but just last night I had a long, pleasant phone conversation with a past associate that I had lost track of for over a decade. Through my LinkedIn network, I was able to re-connect and re-establish our relationship. I did recently cancel my Facebook membership however. I was not pleased with the liberties taken with some of my privacy settings. I also have a pretty specific definition of "friend" which includes a willingness to take a bullet for someone, so that made my decision to leave pretty simple. The interface may not be as fancy, but it's basically the same thing. (Albeit with less social and more technical.) I have refused to participate in any so-called social networks from the word go-get. I may be missing something but I'll take that risk. Your 'friendship web' will therefore always be missing one person! Maybe we should have a network for anti-networkers :-D Brian On 24/08/2011 09:26, Inge wrote: > Hi, > well, I suppose that most of you are 'linked' to someone who is linked > to someone who is linked... > Interesting.
