The working draft of IPC-2221 revision B will include a Table 4-7 for Lead-Free surface finishes. Looking at the most recent draft of this table, I see that Immersion Silver is marked as functional, all others are marked as acceptable except OSP, which has a "?" question mark. I don't know what the question mark means because I missed the conference call where this was discussed, but maybe someone out there knows? I thought you would want to hear about this even though it is not set in stone. Currently it is just a working draft and subject to change. Look near the bottom of the page of this link (which is also subject to change) to see what I mean: http://www.frontdoor.biz/HowToPCB/HowToPCB-Material.html Jack .
