Just select "ignore request" and the nagging goes away. Mike has given very good advice. If I can't recall if I know the person, I write them and say "I'm sorry but I don't recall knowing you. Please tell me why you wish to link with me." 99 times out of a hundred - I never hear back from them again :-). A couple of times my ancient brain did forget I knew them. Reason is, your name is worth something. The implication of a connection, be it business or personal, is that you would vouch for that person. Moreover, that person *might* use your name to leverage opportunities for themselves by hitting up people in your network. That's something you may welcome your "true" contacts to do, but it's a dicey proposition to allow folks you've never met to take advantage of. Personally, I would be uncomfortable suggesting to others in my network that a relationship exists when in fact it does not. I used to only accept people I know, but lately I've been getting a bazillion "invitations". It would be easier to just accept, accept, accept... .... but should I? (If I DON'T accept them, it keeps "reminding" me, which is getting annoying) Jack ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
