Definition of Transparent Green – “Can you see the traces through the SM? Yes =  Transparent whether it is glossy or not. No = non transparent.”

Sorry, the smart a** in me is always closest to the surface on Mondays.  it just struck me as a wrong that they do not understand transparent. Plus it is Monday.

Subject: [DC] IPC-SM-840 > Green?

I am hoping that someone with a copy of IPC-SM-840 can clarify the color of green :-)

Over the last few months we have specified "Transparent Green" and have had no issues.

A new vendor we are exploring suggests "Glossy Green" as they do not understand "Transparent" - go figure?

Does SM-840 provide a specific term or shade of green?

What about blue & red?

Thanks for your assistance!

Bob McCreight, C.I.D.
