Odd that you should ask… I have just been discussing that with a contract assembly house last night and find that the assembly folks disagree with the recommendations for 0201 caps that I find in the IPC-7351 land patterns in PCB libraries viewer…

 

They say the 0201 parts will tombstone with the pattern that is in the IPC specs and recommend a much smaller pad area.

 

Has anyone else had similar experience with them?
