Actually Kenny, as a small business owner the tax break and hopefully more affordable health plan for employees looks good to me. I've spent quite a few years in medical schools doing engineering support for professors and when in the Army medic at Walter Reed 67-69) and having had all kinds of insurance plans including Kaiser (when at UCSF Medical School) I know we needed significant changes so I urge folks to be patient and let's see how this shakes out). Having been to ER depts I've been amazed at how many walk-in uninsured are clogging the system. Typical wait time here in NH is 4-10 hours! Hope mandatory insurance will reduce that burden and cost shifting. I could go on forever about the waste. Better take this offline if you want to chat more about it. One last item: one of our clients was Abbott Labs - just one of their campus mfg buildings they bragged to me was a "million dollar a day" (shipped product) building. $365M a year in pills that have 10-50 mg of active ingredient!
