Those torque are based on other solid metal products. Depending on the screw type (sems, flat washer etc) and the metal finish on the PCB (we would always leave a finish around the NPTH to act as a barrier between the screw head and the pcb material) and test other non-function boards to determine the actual torque and screw size.. www.quickturnflex.com Thank you, Jim Mahoney Quick Turn Flex Circuits, LLC Applications Project Manager P# 603-821-7071 M# 603-305-6250 Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail ** This email and all attachments have been scanned prior to being sent** Confidentiality Notice: This page and any accompanying documents contain information that is confidential, privileged or exempt from disclosure and is intended for the exclusive use of the addressee. We then set the spec to that torque. We found specifications for torque on certain type of screws, but what is your experience on the torque required to attach PCB's before causing damage to the BOARDS AND/OR MATERIALS? Thanks in advance.
