I am just so upset that I just split my nauga-britches!!!!!? The beautiful story of the heroic nauga, right down to the end, and then that?unsettling note at the bottom.? I assumed that the legend of the nauga was still kept on the banks of that scenic, whitewater-rafting,? trout and salmon bountiful home river in Connecticut - the gorgeously spendid Naugatuck.? Please do not confuse that with the equally beautiful and fish plentiful river in western Michigan - the Saugatuck.? BUT, the home of the Nauga legend has been forcibly moved, just like the old Baltimore Colts in a moving van, to INDIANA.? Well,?the Naugas are in good Amish food an family values part of Indiana - Nappanee.? That is very close to the snorts and snarks with their lowland Iowa/Wisconsin roots, commonly referred to as the Amana colonies - after Connecticut and the 13 original colonies.? And, now the naugas have their own office suite, as well: Denny Fritz From the new home state of the Nauga - Indiana. -----Original Message----- From: Douglas Pauls <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Fri, 27 Feb 2009 12:53 pm Subject: Re: [TN] NTC - Weird one - bismuth in overmold Richard, You may find it here. To clarify, "mummy dust" is a generic term used for the secret ingredients that flux manufacturers add to fluxes to make it work right. Similar to powdered bats wing and newts nose. You will see it listed on an MSDS by it's alternative term "Proprietary". Now I feel obligated to tell the story of the Origin of the Stort and Snark. Back when I was in college, and mammoths roamed the earth at the University of Wisconsin (behold the power of cheese), I was in an advanced math course - Systems of Linear Differential equations. Which was a combination of linear algebra and differential equations. Taking the course with me were my good friends Sue Ross and Morgan Culver. We three were the only three engineers in a class of 25 students, the rest being pure math majors. The teacher was a very good one. We were working on a classic population rise and fall problem involving foxes and rabbits. In general, as the rabbit population rises so does the fox population. Cyclical in nature, dynamic with time. All would have been fine, except for we 3 engineers. We kept interjecting comments like, rabbits don't behave like that, or why wouldn't the foxes travel to the adjacent county where there are plenty of rabbits , rather than die, what happens if two foxes share one large rabbit. Essentially destroying all the underlying assumptions and boundary conditions. It frustrated the hell out of the professor. Finally, in a fit of annoyance, he declared that he was changing the name of the predators to Storts and the name of the prey to Snarks, and since none of the smart ass engineers in the class know the characteristics of a Snark or a Stort, we could then proceed with the problem. Without missing a beat, Morgan said "I know what a Stort is - it is a heavyset lowland bird, comprised mainly of meat and feathers, which flies in ever-diminishing circles crying Wango Wango". The teacher just stared at us for a minute, then, without a word, walked out of the classroom. Class dismissed. So Dave was close, but now you know the rest of the story. A stort is a heavy set low land bird, comprised mainly of meat and feathers, which flys in ever diminishing circles, crying "Wango, Wango". Storts belong to the Nauga family. That is one technical term that I've not heard before. Maybe it's because I live and work on a small island in Washington State and the dust hasn't made it this far ;-) KennyB -----Original Message----- From: David D.
