This is a fantastic reference book, IMO. &nbsp;Not a casual read but a great desktop reference for anyone designing boards. &nbsp;You can of course benefit from reading the IPC standards but the Coombs book gives many of them the valuable context that is important for understanding why you&#39;re doing something. &nbsp;(e.g. one might tell you the formula is x*y/z^2...the other (coombs) tends to add some&nbsp;explanation&nbsp;around those numbers...not that all IPC specs are a dry collection of numbers (I can imagine people turning in their chairs) but I, for on, found value in the insights and reasoning supplied by combs).<div>
