Looks like a neat gadget. I'd be curious as to how it sends in the position reports - some RF data network or via cell phone services - the latter doesn't sound likely as I suspect it would be cost prohibitive. If it's an RF data network how good is the coverage? Ham radio operators have been doing this for years with their APRS system - but you need the FCC amateur radio license and the right equipment.
