IF you are cleaning a solvent (resin) based flux you will be using a chemical in the first wash stage. This chemical makes the flux water washable, you then water rinse as required. Final rinse should be DI so as to leave no conductives on work. If you switch to a water washable flux, you dispense with the first stage chemical, everything else stays same.
