I think image distortion in AOI is acceptable especially for digital image. I think the most important thing is how serious affect the inspection. The AOI should find the methods to avoid its negative affects, because there is a software system in AOI.

 

I know a little about how to test the distortion, but it’s really complicated. You need special tools and optical knowledge. If you get some good suggestion to test, pls tell me.

 

2. Light stability – I think there is a self-test programme in AOI

Hi all,

 

I have two questions about AOI camera:

1. As you known, all the AOI vendors face a problem that is camera image distortion. Larger FOV has faster inspection speed but with bigger image distortion. Each vendor says their design is the best one. My question is how to test AOI camera image distortion.

2. How to verify lighting stability? Lighting stability looks like lighting intensity R&R.
