Hey all, Not so long ago there was a company that made a tool that could be adapted to most name brand wave solder machines that would allow the user to mechanically measure the distance from the nozzle to the conveyor rails. The tool was used to make sure that after PM's on the nozzles, they could be sure the nozzles were put back into the near exact position they were prior to the maintenance. What I want to do is take distance measurements from the nozzles to the conveyor rails prior to running a wave rider and use the mechanical measurements to better predict the outcome as long as some of the other vairiables stay relatively the same. Also, we have a manually adjusted solder pot height adjustment system and I want to make sure that everytime the pot is set, it is set to the exact position required for optimized soldering (as I see it). The machine dial isn't exactly precise and too objective. Any thoughts. As always, thanks in advance for your help.
