Werner thinks correct.
In 1985, it was .006" for torpedoes, military avionics, cruise missile
guidance systems, the Space Shuttle controls and guidance, and nearly
all avionics. In fact, it looks like it was .006" for nearly everything
except certain power terminals, in which case it was a minimum of .010"
up to 5 volts, .020" up to 50 volts, and .050" over 50 volts, typically.
This information is from fab drawings, so I am sure there must have been
a board fab standard that called this out.
