Hi Lenny The NanYa and Isola material is certainly in the same family of materials so by large i would say they are comparable. There could be a possibility that 406 gives off slightly less smoke when burning, this is not part of the specification but your customer could have tested several different materials for this reason. A comparison test between the to materials on the same smoke desity test equipment might give you an indication. We approved it's use. Recently a customer said our assemblies are failing a smoke density test. One of our group members is suspecting the pcb material. 1) Could pcb material be related? 2) Is NP-170R a valid replacement for FR4-06?
