We are having some issues with our CM (configuration or CONFOUNDED management) team changing the way in which we title drawings. We (the designers) are of the opinion that the titles should be PWB or PCB, Function, Unit - Additional Modifier; i.e. PCB, MOTHER BOARD, 386 - TOWER CASE. Our CM group is pushing for naming that includes only Function, PWB; i.e. MOTHER BOARD, PWB. What is the industry as a whole doing? What is preferred? Is there a good standards document to work to? Thanks in advance for your input, Jeffrey McGlaughlin, CID Engineering Designer Battelle 505 King Avenue Columbus Ohio 43201-2693 (614)424-7582 Phone (614)458-7582 Fax --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DesignerCouncil Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8d To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF DesignerCouncil.
