Blair,

As the now famous saying goes "It depends".

If you are looking for a model of equipment that is known in your
factory you can look at some of the auction houses or listing services.
Always inspect this equipment before purchasing preferably see it
running product.

If you are looking for a model of equipment that is not known in your
factory you should not buy from someone that can support the machine
after sale. You should look at the manufacturer to see if they offer
used units. You could also look at some of the used equipment dealers
if they have in house technicians for that model of equipment.

Good Luck,

Jerry

I've got a pretty general question for Technetters out there - where
would you go if you were looking to buy used SMT equipment?

Thanks,

Blair
