We don't use rubber. We found some glass fiber brushes in a pen-like handle. They work great. They cut the metal off and do not imbed crap in the copper. TechniTool? I think that is where we got them. Board repair stuff. If you have your heart set on the erasers try a drafting or graphic design supply store. -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Gervascio, Thomas Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2007 2:04 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Erase to abrade off HASL off circuit cards We have a requirement to use an erase to remove solder from a PCB pad down to the base copper. The recommended erase is too soft- we found a hard grey abrasive erase that goes in an electric eraser but don't know where we can buy more of these. Any ideas?
