Dear Technos, I am having a class 3 board, with hollow pin TH connectors. To get them within the 0.059in spec we need to trim the pins, but being hollow they deform, cracking the solder, hence tons of touch-up. I have 2 questions: * What is the rationale behind requesting shorter pin protrusions for class 3 vs. class 2 * My wishful thinking lights a pale souvenir in my mind telling that there is a MIL spec that forbids pin clipping. Am I right, or is it only wishful thinking?
