You didn't say humorous antidotes, but I'll answer anyway. The majority of our experience is with HASL Sn/Pb printed boards and compliant pin technology. Lots of data, experience, design rules, testing, understanding and controlling have established that combination as robust enough for the Aerospace Industry. Building on that new compliancy there is no reason for ENIG not to work. There are many white papers and test reports out there to support that rational. Knowing the hole truth will be the finish of the ENIGma.
