Hi Alan, I have not had any issue with ENIG. I am sure it is harder, but I feel the whole press-fit process is more dependant on the finished hole diameter. Please follow the recommended finshed hole diameter. Work with your fab vendor to insure they can manufature the fab to the finished hole tolerances required.
